Steve Wolterman founded Wolterman Law Office in 2008 with a singular mission: to provide Southwest Ohio individuals, families, and businesses with sophisticated legal representation delivered with the personal attention of a local firm. A native Cincinnatian, Steve attended St. Xavier High School before earning his B.S. in Finance from Clemson University and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
A large part of Steve's practice is planning and facilitating 1031 exchanges in all 50 states and abroad. He is a Certified Exchange Specialist (CES) -- the only nationally recognized credential in the 1031 exchange industry -- and a member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA). Steve has personally overseen more than 1,000 exchanges and helped clients save over $100 million in capital gains taxes. He is known in many circles for handling the most complex 1031 exchange structures, including reverse exchanges, improvement exchanges, and multi-property transactions.
Steve's practice also spans estate planning and probate, business formation and transactions, real estate, and tax law. His background as a Certified Fraud Examiner gives him a unique edge in business transactions and tax matters. Steve values relationships above all else and considers himself lucky to meet so many wonderful individuals and families in the community through the firm's estate planning and personal services.
