Steve R. Wolterman is the founding attorney of Wolterman Law Office and a Certified Exchange Specialist (CES) -- the only nationally recognized credential in the 1031 exchange industry. With 20+ years of experience, Steve has personally overseen more than 1,000 exchanges and helped clients save over $100 million in capital gains taxes across all 50 states.
Steve's practice spans estate planning, business law, real estate, and tax law, with deep expertise in complex 1031 exchange structures including reverse, improvement, and multi-property exchanges. He is a member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Steve is also admitted to U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Matthew Metzger

In 2025, he also obtained a $22.29 million verdict in a business fraud case. His total recovery for clients exceeds $50 million in settlements and judgments. Previously, Matt was an attorney at Keating Muething and Klekamp. He received his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, magna cum laude, and his B.B.A. from the University of Iowa, where he was a varsity scholarship athlete.
