Second Annual Loveland Oktoberfest September 23 and 24

oktoberfest

For the second year, the Wolterman Law Office and City of Loveland will host Oktoberfest, a seasonal festival held in the German tradition, Friday and Saturday, September 23 and 24, beginning at 4 p.m.

The Little Miami River Chamber of Commerce and area businesses are helping transform Loveland’s business district into an old world German Biergarten filled with traditional foods, live music, events for all ages, and a wide selection of German-style beers. All beverage tips will be donated to CancerFree Kids, a Loveland organization that supports groundbreaking cancer research.

Oktoberfest kicks off on Friday with downtown restaurants and bars hosting the first rounds of Masskrugstemmen – competitive stein hoisting. Participants finishing the strongest at each establishment will face off in final competitions Saturday at the main stage. Mayor Kathy Bailey will officially tap the first keg immediately following the Keg Procession, also on Saturday.

The Oktoberfest festivities include a stein slide, wiener dog race, axe throwing, crafts, a kids’ zone with inflatables, a Warsteiner Emporium, and many other fun activities for the whole family.
